Elementary Walk and Talk
Starting this week, students will have an opportunity to get outside during lunch periods (weather permitting) for the volunteer-led Walk and Talk program. We are excited to get this started. We will need many volunteers each Tuesday and Thursday. Please sign up if you can help. 2018-2019 Walk and Talk Sign Up. ODS Scholastic Fall Book Fair - Oct. 15 - 19, Family Night Oct. 16 We welcome you to join us during the day to shop with or for your students from Oct. 15 to Oct. 19. Join us for evening shopping, activities, and city library card signups on Tuesday, October 16th from 4:00-6:00 pm, or visit our Online Book Fair Shopping Page. This is a great fundraiser for our library, and all proceeds go to adding books and makerspace items for your students. ODS “Pink Out Day” for Breast Cancer Awareness - Oct. 16 October 16th is the HPE Department’s next XLLR. The entire student body is invited to participate in a PINK OUT. Wear any and all pink you have to support breast cancer awareness. This is in collaboration with the Operation Smile Club and not for profit, just for awareness. ODS Community Concert - Friday, October 19 The ODS Band and Chorus will be holding a Community Concert on Friday, October 19. Weather permitting, the concert will be held outside in the ODS Courtyard for all to enjoy. Make sure to bring lawn chairs, etc. for seating. Doors open at 5 p.m. Concert starts at 6 p.m.. We are excited to include a celebration of our military-connected families and our Anchored 4 Life program through music. Please join us and bring family and friends. The band will be having a pizza pre-order sale for the Community Concert. Feel free to bring your own food or pre-order your pizza/water package for $10. Proceeds benefit the ODS middle school band. If you are interested in ordering pizza, fill out a form on our website (www.olddonationband.com) and return with payment to Mr. Poe by October 16. This event is for everyone.
